Hello, my name is Jason. I bought Roxio Easy VHS to DVD back in 2009 (Version 1.1.25 SP2; 4.50.13a). I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate and I have a 65GB Solid State Hard drive has my main drive. I have a 2nd hard drive for Program files. I originally had this Version of Roxio installed on the main drive, but I've run out of room on it so I uninstalled Easy VHS to DVD from the main drive (C: drive).

I also followed this websites' instructions on fully uninstalling Roxio the web page is titled: 'Complete Uninstall of Creator 2009 and 2010 (Windows Vista and 7)' I couldn't find a search topic for fully Uninstalling Roxio Easy VHS to DVD. When I've reinstalled to the 2nd hard drive (E.) The installed worked.I rebooted.and then launched the program.I filled out the registration information again, but when I try to run any of the programs (say.VideoWave.for example) I get this message: 'The certificate file is missing or has been corrupted.

If it does not mention Windows 7 on the box, your version is not compatible.

Roxio Winoncd 2010 Serial Season 4

The Box never said rated for Windows 7 (Back when I bought in late 2009). But I am correct on the Version Type.Version: 1.1.125 SP2; 4.50.13a Build: 111B25F, VHS; 450B14A, VHS VideoWave/MyDVD Launcher Plugin (Program, I'm getting an error message on) Version: 4.5.3246.22971 This Program does work on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit edition.because I've had it up and running before. I thought about the compatibility issue before, and there is a reason why I bought the Ultimate Version of Windows.I could go online to Microsoft's Website and download the Windows XP Virtualization (Windows Virtual PC) which runs Roxio Easy VHS to DVD in a Virtual Windows XP environment.

The Intel Core i 7 Processor's allows for virtualization.but I've notice that it does work in Windows 7 (At least for me at the time when it was installed on the C: drive) Any ideas? Or more clarification needed?? Thanks for your time, Jason.

Thanks for your time, Jason It is not certified for Win7 under any circumstances The 'Ultimate' was produced by MS so that users with the MS Productivity packages could use them. It was never intended for anything outside of that Your version will install, and run for a time then fail.

This is exactly why the 1.2.198 version was introduced as a stopgap until the 201B version was ready. You are going to have to upgrade and if it were mine, I would be looking for a version of Creator 2010 to replace it! I've decided to go with Nero 10.I'm still using the USB device that came with Easy VHS to DVD.I personally don't like Roxio's software, and since I can't get it to install with out upgrading to Roxio 2010.I'm spending my money else where. I've downloaded Nero 10 as a trial version and I find that it offers a lot more video editing functions then Roxio. To all those inclined.I would recommend buying Nero 10.

I've done a search on this website and have found a lot of people running into the same error message 'The certificate file is missing or has been corrupted. Please re-install it.' ERROR: No permissions to launch application'. Roxio should offer 'free of charge' an update package that should work on Windows 7.

Double-click the downloaded file to install the software.

I spent about $60 on this piece of software and is recommending that I spend more money to buy Roxio 2010. Sorry, if the software doesn't work and the tech support is not so good.my money is going some where else.good like to the rest of you.jlight27 signing off. You bought a Full Suite and found that it has more features than the cut down, one purpose, version of software you are replacing I guess that is an Epiphany depending on your level of expectations Best of luck.
